EE Super Sales weekend
Last weekend, EE store staff put their selling power to the test as they hosted the first ever EE Super Sales weekend. Leading up to the highly anticipated event, we created an EE games pack to help store staff fully understand all the benefits that EE offer its customers and also correct any misconceptions surrounding Fibre Broadband.
From initial concepts and ideas to copywriting and design, we created six games from scratch, including EE bingo, Pop the Imposter and Store Stepping Stones, to really highlight and bring all the EE benefits to life, with the aim of everyone involved to have fun whilst boosting their selling knowledge. We also produced a brand new sales aid for staff, showing the latest handset offers.
With the games pack, we wanted store staff to keep it beyond the Super Sales weekend and use it time and time again to keep their selling brains constantly refreshed. To achieve this, we created every game as a reusable item. The templates for each game were devised so they can be played again and again. We also designed a handy polyprop case. This can be used to keep all the games stored in one place, it’s also useful for storing all sales aids and other tools.
After the weekend…
After playing the games, store staff felt much more confident about pushing the benefits of EE to customers and using them to boost their sales. The weekend proved to be a roaring success – proving that everyone can learn and have a barrel of fun at the same time!

Educating EE
Since its official launch in November, we've worked closely with EE to create various tools to educate store staff. Sales aids, interactive customer tools, Augmented Reality and much more have all been produced by Citizen to help staff boost their knowledge about all things EE.
A lot of hard work has gone into helping the new brand hit the ground running - check out some of our unusual facts below...
- We've spent 111 hours designing, visualising and conceptualising a number of EE sales aids - it would take that long to manually sharpen 1235 pencils from start to finish, without stopping (due to an achy hand)
- We've already created a massive 7000 sales tools to help staff sell, sell, sell - if you stacked them all on top of each other, they would be taller than the 2 highest buildings in the world.. put together!
- 56 hours have been spent in print and production - that's how long it would take to drive from the EE Head Office in Hatfield all the way to New York with an average speed of 62mph (and if you could drive in one straight line and over water)
- EE Aura - we've brought the EE brand to life by using Augmented Reality for the first time ever. To do this, we used Aurasma!
Click here and take a little peek into the world of Augmented Reality and Aurasma...

Citizen welcome Eluar Cruz
From the sunny, carnival country of Brazil to the cold and wet country of England - it doesn’t seem like a swap that would appeal to many. However one brave lady has indeed made the trip across the Atlantic and has joined Team Citizen for January.
Eluar Cruz, who is a Director of Social Media in Brazil, has arrived in England hoping to improve her knowledge of the English language.
We’re all incredibly excited to have Eluar with us and look forward to learning a lot from her, as well as helping her gain a better understanding of English language and culture.
A bit about Eluar…
Eluar, 23, was born in a town in the interior of Bahia, Brazil – a state known for its beautiful beaches and carnivals. She now lives with her parents in the city of Natal, where they enjoy 365 days of sunshine.
In 2010, Eluar graduated in Social Communication, and specialised in Advertising. She is now studying for her MBA in Communication Media and Social Media.
Eluar also works for an advertising agency called KKI Creative Industries, where she is currently the Director of Social Media… and she loves her job!
Eluar’s writing and understanding of English is more or less there, so she has come to England with the goal of improving her English speaking.

Christmas – A time for giving
At Citizen we look at Christmas as a time of giving, and although it's great to hand out presents, we thought of a better way to give this Christmas.
In our Citizen Christmas Card 2012 we asked clients to select a charity from a list of five. Then, whichever they selected, we'd give an incredibly helpful donation of £15 to that charity on their behalf.
Thanks to a great response from our clients, we'll be donating £300 across the five charities this year. Look below to see where the money will be going...
- Barnardo's - £105.00
- RSPCA - £30.00
- The Trussell Trust - £15.00
- Mind - £15.00
- Brain Tumour UK - £135.00
A total of 20 donations.
Thank you to all who played their part!

Mo-Mo-Money made for Movember
Throughout November the gents at Citizen tackled the lip itching, face wrecking challenge that is 'Movember'. Thankfully, the annoyance of a horrid moustache didn't go unrewarded, as we managed to raise a great £113.
Every penny will go towards raising vital funds and awareness for men's health, specifically prostate cancer and testicular cancer.
A massive thanks to everyone who made a donation.

Have a pay as you go Christmas with EE
This year the UK’s biggest mobile brand, EE, are giving customers the finest pay as you go experience ever by selling the very best of both Orange and T-Mobile portfolios. To help EE push pay as you go to the max in the lead up to Christmas, we produced the ideas, design and copywriting for a great festive launch pack. An advent calendar, a pay as you go sales aid, a handy digital magazine (along with QR code) and more were created to bring the launch pack to life and help all EE stores sell, sell, sell, this Christmas.
Check out a montage of what was created, below.
We’ll also be adding more photos very soon, so keep your eyes peeled for them.

Citizen tackle Movember
The month of November sees thousands of males across the country hide away their razors and let their moustache go wild, all in the name of charity. It is a bit of fun, however the reasons behind are of the highest importance. The males at Citizen are growing their moustaches to raise money and awareness for men's health, specifically prostate and testicular cancer.
To donate, go to our Facebook page and follow the link – all contributions, no matter how much or how little, are greatly appreciated.
Also, we'll be posting 'moustache updates' on our Facebook page, keep an eye out and make your own mind up on who looks the best and worst with a tash!

On 14th September Team Citizen were sent away to embark on a team-building weekend at Center Parcs. Aerial Adventure, Laser Clay Shooting, bike riding (and falling), bone breaking air hockey, extreme water rapids and dirty balls (golf balls) – You name it, we did it! It’s safe to say we all had a blast and didn’t want to leave. A big thank you to Martin and Julie for giving us such a great weekend (they just wanted some peace and quiet really).
Why not check out our Facebook page – there’s loads of great (and not so great) snaps from the weekend ready and waiting for your amusement.

RBK money website
RBK Money is an electronic payments company who operates on a global scale, and we’ve recently been working very close with them to create a brand new website.
RBK’s current customer spectrum is very much Russian based, however they explained to us that they’re looking to heavily expand to the UK. They asked the team at Citizen to design and create a website that focused on UK customers – how RBK Money could benefit them, the wide range of products and services and more.
Both Citizen and RBK are very happy with the new website. Check it out for yourself by following the link: http://www.rbkmoney.co.uk/

epay intranet
Citizen’s skilled online team has created an intranet for the worldwide electronic payment solutions company, epay. It keeps epay employees fully up-to date with anything and everything that goes on; news, press releases, careers and staff contacts are just a few features. The intranet was a simple cost-effective solution with a tight deadline. epay’s web administrators got to grips with the functionality quickly and easily, enabling them to manage all updates themselves, and we are always on hand to help if needed.

Kaf - Kidderminster Arts Festival
Run by Wyre Forest District Council, KAF involves a range of workshops, exhibitions, performances and events that happen around Kidderminster. It’s a great opportunity for the younger generation to get in touch with their creative side. KAF is also beneficial for the local community – painting subways in the town for example is a great way to brighten up the area.
At Citizen we’re always keen to work with local businesses, and on this particular occasion we worked closely with the council to help create a brochure and poster, each promoting the exciting KAF events happening between 11th - 25th August.

epay summer magazine
Citizen’s design team and in-house copywriter have recently worked together to create a brand new summer magazine on behalf of epay. The publication will go to all epay retailers and its purpose is to inform them about a range of great new products and services available to them and their customers. As well as printed magazine, we’ve also uploaded an online version onto the epay intranet.

epay POS ordering system
The online team at Citizen has worked closely with epay (electronic payment solutions) to create an online POS (point of sale) ordering system. This allows Area Sales Managers to order the latest POS for their epay stores. Citizen also distributes all of this from our own warehouse. We can distribute based on the necessary POS and we also give the choice of destination. It can either go to the Area Sales Manager who will distribute around stores accordingly or we can send directly to a specific store.

Midas Consoles
Citizen has recently teamed up with Midas Consoles to help with the worldwide launch of their latest product the PRO1. To help create a positive impacting buzz around the product pre-launch, Citizen designed a teaser advert, a launch advert and an exciting creative brochure.
We contributed with completing the integrated launch by creating an online campaign. We also produced and sent emails to turn people’s attentions to the PRO1. The big launch for the PRO1 was topped off at Infocomm in Las Vegas, where we were also at hand to help by supplying first class graphics for Midas’ exhibition stand.
Good news… feedback from the event was incredibly positive and indicates it was a huge success!

Let's Talk interactive magazines
Every month Citizen’s designers and copywriter produce an online, fully interactive magazine for T-Mobile, called Let’s Talk. By creating an interactive version, it saves on print costs and also makes it easily accessible for any T-Mobile employee to read through. The magazine itself gives T-Mobile store staff all the information they need to sell at the best of their ability the following month. From new plans to mobile phone feature pages, if there’s something new and exciting around the corner, Let’s Talk will include all the information to keep stores fully up-to-date. The interactive capabilities allow us to emphasise specific detail in ways that stand out and appeal to the naked eye – emphasis that printed publications are unable to produce. To name a few features and functionalities: Zoom in to specific text, add interactive content such as web links or videos and turn pages like a real magazine.

RBK Money sales tool
We’ve recently built a brand new sales tool for RBK Money to help them demonstrate what they offer to customers. The tool allows RBK to show their different payment methods that can be used if a customer uses their service. Each section exhibits how to pay using different Russian payment methods – which UK businesses may not be familiar with. It’s a really handy sales tool, and you can check it out yourself, simply follow this link...

Our good deeds
Everyone knows Citizen as a business that specialises in design, online, events and logistics – and this is all-true, however what people may not know is the work we also do for various good causes.
Aston Villa Former Players AssociationFounded in 1995, the Aston Villa Former Players Association aims to provide ‘health & welfare’ support any former players that are in need. Medical & care, emotional, financial, career & education and professional are some of the areas where the Association can help. They also organise an annual calendar of events (both sporting and social) to give former players, along with their family and friends, the chance to meet old friends and make new ones along the way. All events are free of charge to former players, including overseas events.
The Aston Villa Former Players Association is close to Citizen hearts, and we’re always looking for ways to get involved and help with the Association. We create brochures and flyers as well as an advert in every match day programme at Villa Park (the Aston Villa home ground) to help promote and raise further awareness of the Association and we genuinely hope to continue helping for the foreseeable future.
The RotaryFormed over 100 years ago, The Rotary is a worldwide organisation that encourages high ethical standards, provides humanitarian service and also helps generate goodwill and peace throughout the world.
The motto ‘Service Above Self’ typifies the passion and desire they have.
The Rotary Club of Bewdley was chartered on 8th February 1990 with 31 Founder Members. Since then, the Rotary Club of Bewdley has provided Rotary Service to local, national and international communities and at the same time, its members continue to enjoy the Fellowship that is the cornerstone of Rotary.
The Rotary Club of Bewdley is committed to the core values of its motto and Citizen are keen followers of the volunteer work they do. To help this charitable cause, we design leaflets to promote any function, event or occasion they’re planning, clothing to be worn at events and even a fully-functioning website for anyone to find out about The Rotary Club of Bewdley online.
Supporting our local teamHere at Citizen we love forming and maintaining strong, healthy relationships with local businesses - and nearby clubs and societies are no exceptions.
For a number of years Citizen have followed and supported Kidderminster Harriers Football Club, we also sponsor their Physiotherapist (Gavin Crowe). We see our relationship with the Harriers as an incredibly valued one and hope this continues for the foreseeable future.
The little things countAt Citizen we believe that the little things really do count, and we always look to do our bit to help wherever we can.
We accumulate bags of shredded paper over time, but instead of throwing it away we donate it to P.U.P.S, which stands for The Protection of Unwanted Puppies Society, to provide extra comfort and warmth for the puppies.

If you’re under 24 – you’re in!
Orange have recently introduced a fantastic new offer that gives everyone under the age of 24 unlimited texts, UK calls to anyone on Orange or T-Mobile and a whopping 1GB of data absolutely free if they spend £15 or more a month - and we’ve created a great new launch pack and magazine to help Orange introduce and promote it in stores. We included all necessary detail in the magazine along with a brand new sales aid for store staff to familiarise themselves with the U24 offer. There’s also some funky glasses, lollipops, glow sticks and more – just to show that Orange are ‘down with the kids’. Check out the image below to see exactly what we included in the super cool U24 launch pack.

Every workman needs his tools…
To help T-Mobile launch their pay as you go refresh, we've created a handy 'toolkit' for their stores. This gives store staff all the ammunition they need to fire across all the great new stuff T-Mobile has to offer to both new and existing pay as you go customers. Take a look and see what’s exactly inside a T-Mobile workman’s toolkit…

Home is where the broadband's at!
Citizen's first cross-brand launch pack was produced in February this year to give Orange store staff the low down on some new Home Broadband packages, and also to launch Orange Home Broadband in T-Mobile stores. We dealt with everything from initial conceptualization to final production. Some of the items included in the launch pack were: house shaped sales swatch cards, a foldable competition board, T-Shirts, even Red Bull and Boost bars, and all housed in bespoke Boxes. Take a look below at some of the things we created…

The Best magazine ever…
The Best Recognition Scheme recently held a 5-star evening, celebrating the work of Everything Everywhere employees and to award the top 10 performers with a prize of a lifetime. To highlight the success of the evening, and the scheme, we’ve created an interactive magazine. Detail on the event, the entertainment, the winners, and more is all included in the mag… definitely a good read.

Have you seen The Full Monty? …No not the film!
What do you think Britain really loves? Well according to T-Mobile’s latest TV advert, we love grannys, cheese, nostalgia, marching bands, and much more. However what Britain really loves is a bargain. All this has been created to promote their latest pay monthly plans, named ‘The Full Monty’, and we’ve helped them promote this in store. We created a launch pack dedicated to these new plans, containing chocolate cheeses, flags, t-shirts, tattoo transfers, a special edition magazine and more to give store staff all they need to promote then and to have fun in doing so.

When something ends, something new begins.
Unfortunately, it was time to say bye to our very own magic man, Mr Mark Barber, who has decided to leave Citizen to start a new adventure travelling the world. However, we have two exciting new additions to the Citizen team, Phil Pountney (junior web developer/programmer) and Adam Grosvenor (Copywriter), who will no doubt inject a new and fresh wave of energy around the camp…Farm!
